NLCL

FIREARMS SECTION

Firearms examination at the NLCL includes analysis that can tie a bullet or cartridge case to a specific gun, test trigger pull, and determine gun length.  Refer to the "Submission Guidelines" for additional information.

The NLCL (Shreveport) is part of the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network, a computer-assisted ballistics imaging system that stores and compares images of the unique marks made on fired cartridge cases.  All NIBIN submissions should be referred to the Shreveport facility.  For any questions, please reach out to NIBIN@nlcl.org

Effective 3/01/2022, the NLCL will no longer provide Latent Print or Toolmark Services which were previously available.
